Rogerama Tour Blog
17th June 2025
These last couple of weeks have been super busy and it continues this week with more gigs with the Earthband, we fly out again to Germany this Thursday.
Just done 2 Duo gigs in Germany with Robert (Hart) near a town called Bad Nauheim where Elvis was stationed when he was in the Army, didn’t have time to go to the house he lived in or the museum but it was still a thrill to know that we walked in the same park where he spent some time, only a true fan would know what I mean.
Well no sunbathing today as I’m back to work working on my guitarist album and especially the single but more about that later. It was great to work with Robert on the duo gigs but it’s a bit different in as much as he does his thing, I do my thing then we ‘thing‘ together, it was fun.
We will have some news further on about my solo show etc which is definitely what I want to do for my future, it’s a very exciting project and i can change things around musically to do everything from the fifties right up to now. Anyway coffee calls and I have an interview with a German newspaper in 30 mins so gotta go. Love to all and be back soon xMR

Hi, I’d just like to say a big thank you to all the people that turned up to see my latest shows in Norway and to the people organising  things at the venues, it was great. Instead of playing for 80-90 minutes they wouldn’t let me go, so it’s turning into 1hr 45, heeelp, but I love it. Now it’s a case of finishing the GUITARIST album and also adding some fresh tunes for the show. My management guys are putting in a lot of time and effort into things which is great and there’s some very exciting things coming up but more about that later. Over the next couple of months the Earthband are working a lot and there’s also 2 consecutive nights with my mate Robert (Hart) doing our duo thing in Germany on 14-15th of June the details of which are on our respective websites. Love to all and see you soon xMick R.

Hi everyone, I thought I’d do an Easter Blog to keep you up to date.
Although it’s holiday time, there’s no real break for me as I’m looking at and mixing the tracks for the Guitarist album. It’s not totally a guitar album in as much as of course I’m singing and my son George who is a lovely keyboardist has written a tune (The Privateer) and we’re trading solo’s etc, so that’s on the album.
I think the biggest change in my playing is that recently I’ve ditched the ‘flat pick' style and I’m now using a Black Mountain thumb pick which seems to suit my style of playing, so I’m practicing like crazy with it, but it’s fun. The Rogerama touring is picking up speed and there are gigs coming in, the management team are doing a great job. People have asked why I haven’t done the totally solo thing before and I guess I wasn’t quite ready for it and to find guys who believe in you is difficult, but we are now rocking so I look forward to everything.
Have a great Easter and I'll keep you up to date on the website. Love MR

The first gig of the run of 3 in Norway started in Oslo last Thursday 3rd April. I have to say these three gigs have been fantastic, helped of course by the management team of Per-Otto Bjørnebekk, Colin Reed and the amazing sound guy Pete Dutton who I work with in the Earthband. Pete came more or less straight from Nashville to be with us and he did a great job as usual.
It was especially satisfying because my 90 minute show is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and it worked great although of course I'll be improving it all the time. These small places to start with are so important to see what works etc but once I’m there on stage it could be a small club or Madison Square Gardens because everyone of the gigs are so important and I want to do my best.
In future the blogs will be filmed at the gigs and whatever we think is interesting for people. It’s now back to the studio (after a couple of days rest, although my brain won’t switch off from having plenty of ideas etc) and I'll be mixing and recording my album simply called THE GUITARIST which we want finished ASAP, as well as continuing the ideas for merchandising.
That’s all for now folks from myself and the team and thank you so much for your support and especially to all the people turning up to see the show. Onwards and upwards . XMick R
